At Barasat College, the users are constantly encouraged to visit the library, use the facility of Reading Room and consult the resources available. The students are asked to collect the library brochure containing library rules, method of using catalogue, etc.

The librarians make it a point to conduct informal Orientation Sessions to the newly admitted students as part of the library awareness programs.
